Meaningful marketing for Football for Water

CHALLENGE

Football for Water wanted to create game changers by means of football. That’s why they wanted to empower kids to teach their peers about water, sanitation and life skills. It was our task to create meaningful marketing tools to enhance this process.

INSIGHTS

Health issues should be as well known to the kids as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are. We should not tell these children what they could get if they don’t wash their hands, but we should tell them that they can live up their aspirations if they do wash their hands.

SOLUTION

We created meaningful marketing tools to inspire 8-16 year olds to live a healthy life, by educating them in an aspiring manner. We used exercises, storytelling and the Captain Magazine to teach them about WASH and life skills. Now, the Football for Water kids practice all the exercises with their friends who are not in school.

POSITIVE IMPACT

Educating 450.000 children about water, sanitation and life skills via aspirational marketing.

We should not tell children what they can get if they don't wash their hands, we should tell them that they can live up their aspirations if they do wash their hands.
